The Ouseburn Valley is the creative heart of Newcastle. On Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 November 2026 the Ouseburn Open Studios event sees venues opening their doors, offering a rare chance to catch a glimpse into the working world of artists and designer-makers. It’s the perfect chance to do your Christmas shopping with unique gifts, crafts and artwork to see and buy. There will be original art including paintings, prints, sculpture & glass as well as handmade jewellery, furniture and ceramics. There will also be exhibitions to inspire and the opportunity to get creative with have-a-go activities.
It’s also an ideal opportunity to talk to artists about commissioning work or finding out about workshops they hold.
